How do I set up job alerts to notify me of new positions that fit my skill set?

Click on the "job alert" button, enter your email address and select your desired search categories. We will send you an email as soon as a matching position becomes available. (To edit your job alert details simply re-enter your search.) 

 

I have forgotten my login details. What can I do?

At the login page click "Don’t know your password?" You’ll be asked to re-enter your email address. Click "OK". Within a few minutes, you’ll receive an e-mail containing a link to reset your password.

 

My email address has changed, what should I do?

It’s simple. Login using your old email address. Then go to "change details". (Just remember that when you change your address it will also update your username.)

 

Can I apply from my mobile?

You can apply from any mobile or tablet device – whatever suits you best.

 

I am unable to upload my CV. What should I do?

Sorry it’s not working properly. If you are still having no luck, email us at whitbread.careers@whitbread.com and we’ll do our best to fix it.

 

I withdrew my application, but have changed my mind and now want to proceed with it. What should I do?

We’re pleased you reconsidered! All your personal details are still on your account, although you won’t be able to proceed with your previous application. Either search and apply for a new vacancy or set up job alerts to find something suitable.

Can I find out any more about a vacancy than is advertised?

There will be general information about the role on our website. You will also get more specific information if we progress with your application.

 

While viewing the job listings, I saw a position that would be perfect for one of my friends. Can I forward them details about the job?

Yes, please share vacancies with your friends and colleagues. Just click on the desired job and scroll to the bottom where there is a button to “refer a friend”.

 

Can you tell me if a job has been filled?

We’ll provide you with information relevant to your application and give you feedback if you have been unsuccessful.

How do I apply for a vacancy?

Once you’ve found a job you’re interested in, just follow the instructions for applying online.

 

How long does the process take, from application to appointment?

Timeframes vary depending on the role, but we endeavour to fill roles as quickly as possible.

Can I attach a supporting letter to my application?

Yes. When you apply, the system will give you option to upload a CV and any other supporting documents.

 

I don’t have the requested two referees. Can I still apply?

You can apply, but you will need to provide two referees if your application is progressed. If this is your first job you might consider asking a teacher, lecturer or tutor to be a referee.

 

If I’m not successful, can I apply for the same vacancy again?

Yes. To find out about new opportunities as soon as they come up, click on the “job alert” button.

 

How many jobs can I apply for?

As many as you want to!

 

Can I check the status of my application?

Yes, just log back in to the system for an update on your application status.

I don’t have a CV. Is one required?

No, you don’t need a CV to apply for a role with Whitbread although you will need to provide information about your background and experience as part of your application.

 

I don’t have an email address. Is one required?

Yes. We need an email address so we can communicate with you. It also provides the username login you use to access your application.

 

Do I have to apply online, or can I apply by telephone or paper application?

To keep things as simple as possible, all applications should be made online. If you have a disability that prevents you from completing an online application, please email us at whitbread.careers@whitbread.com and we’ll help you through the process.

 

I am a recruiting agency and would like to submit a candidate for your consideration. Can I do this? If so, how do I go about it?

How will I be assessed for the role?

You will definitely have to complete a multiple-choice questionnaire to help us understand how you would react in typical work situations. We will want to meet you at some point as well. Apart from that, it depends on the role you apply for.

 

What is the online assessment?

The online assessment is a multiple-choice questionnaire that asks you to tell us how you would react in typical everyday situations in the role you are applying for. Just remember to answer honestly and be yourself.

 

How many questions will I be asked in the online assessment? How long will it take?

This depends on the role you apply for. However, you will be given specific guidelines on how long it will take and how many questions you will have to answer beforehand so that you can properly prepare.

 

Will I get feedback on my results of the online tests?

Yes. You will be given feedback throughout your application.

 

I’ve already completed the online test, but the website is saying it’s incomplete. What should I do?
